The Northern Potter School District is located in North Central Pennsylvania. It is in the northern part of Potter County and is bordered on the north by the New York state line. The District includes the Townships of Genesee, Bingham, Harrison, Ulysses, and half of Allegany and Hector.
The district is very large geographically including 231 square miles. The area is very rural and is sparsely populated. It includes 4,800 residents and approximately 724 students.
The area is particularly appealing to families who enjoy outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing, hiking, skiing, snowmobiling, and camping. The economy of the area is mainly comprised of farming, family-owned businesses, and some light industry.
Our district maintains one elementary building for grades K-6 and one Jr.-Sr. High School for grades 7-12. The enrollment is about 341 elementary students and 361 secondary students.
